Euro 2024 Excel Schedule – Predictor, Sweepstake
We are back with the “Euro 2024 Excel Schedule”, after launched eight years ago the Excel of the Euro 2016 in France. We’ve already published several excel of national team tournaments (in spanish) such as Excel World Cup Qatar 2022 and Excel Copa America Brazil 2019, as well as the main club tournaments: Excel Champions 2023-2024 (avalaible in English).
We are already counting the days to start this summer to be able to organice the typical pool at work, in the bars, with the group of friends, etc. The purpose of this excel is to help you in your group with the Euro 2021 pool. Also this summer there is a new edition of the America’s Cup and of the Gold Cup. You can also use it as an excel simulator or predictor of the Eurocup and see what would happen with different results.
The draw for the Eurocup took place on November 30, 2019, but the last four teams have been known until March 2021.

Since 2016 when we published the first file until this year we have improved the use of the excel. For example 4 years ago in case of a draw in a group you had to change a result if you didn’t like the order of the group. Now in case of a draw you can select the order in a group as well as the order of the third ranked in each group. (In the instructions are the criteria used). Another new feature is that you can select the times according to the country you have chosen, also we`ve added the flags of the countries participating in the group stage.
Once again I would like to thank SandruskDesign for their advice on the design, I don’t know how the design would have looked without her help. I thank her again for her availability and collaboration.
Predictor Excel Eurocup

Using the file is so simple: in the group stage you only have to fill in the grey cells with the results you think will be given. In case of a draw between two or more teams in the group, the order of those teams can be selected.
From the eighths onwards the crosses are automatically placed and the grey boxes must be filled in. In case of a draw, two extra grey boxes will be opened at the sides, to undo the draw. At the end you have to write down who you think will be the best player, the top scorer and the best goalkeeper. I leave you a file about how it works and the instructions to organize a pool with your group.
The file can serve as a fixture, pool, simulator (you can make calculations with the results to see who would rank according to the results).

THERE IS NO A BETTER WAY to set the scores, because each one has its pros and cons, so I encourage you to comment on how you are going to put them in your group with a screenshot so that people can see it, and also if you want to comment.
As always, any correction, suggestion, comment you want to make is welcome. You can comment anything related to the Euro, the rules you use in your group, where you are from, how many people you are, how you make the bets, suggest scores, etc. Thank you very much in advance.
ENJOY!

Hi, in today’s Italy vs Austria game the official time (90minutes) ended with 0-0. The game then proceeded to end in 2-1 in extension time. What is the correct way to enter this result in the spreadsheet? Thanks!
The correct way is 2-1
What is this “best tournament goalkeeper”? I’ve never seen this award, how would we know who wins this?
Also anyone wants to share their scoring system for inspiration? 🙂
Hi Mark.
In my group we select de best goalkeper from the Team of the Tournament.
But it’s not necesary to score points, in all criteria. You can leave it in 0 points in someones.
In the comments of the Spanish version, some have proposed scoring systems:

Hello man!
Thanks for this, it’s awesome.
Problem is, when trying to open it at work and share it with colleagues, the team name don’t work, they only show as “REF”. And neither do the tables. Any thing we can do to fix it?!
Thanks!
Hi Marios,
Thanks for the comment. I think the problem could be the Excel version. If not, try to download it again.
Hi,
Fantastic job!
Is it possible to add the the game for the Bronze-medal?
Hi William,
Thanks for your commment. In the Euro there is no match for the 3rd place.
thanks for the file. looking at this scenario, shouldn’t Italy be in front of Switzerland because of goal average? Criteria should be points, goal difference, goals scored etc. (rule 15.01 of UEFA) https://documents.uefa.com/v/u/WVKcnryVkASzztwJjPBcIw
Thanks for your comment Matthieu. There are 3 teams with 6 points. So you have to look the matches between Turkey, Italy and Switzerland.
You have to look de rule 20.01 (final tournament group stage) of UEFA, not the 15.01 (qualifying group stage)
1st: higher number of points : The 3 have 3 points
Next: superior goal difference: the 3, 0
Next higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; Turkey and Switzerland 2 goals and Italy only 1. So Switzerland is in front of italy.
Best
ok for rule 20.01 but in my example Italy still has a better goal difference than Switzerland ? +2 for italy vs +1 for Switzerland ? So why would you use goals for?
Yes, but in case of two or more teams in the same group are equal on points on completion of thefinal tournament group stage, the following criteria are applied, in the ordergiven, to determine their rankings:
a. higher number of points obtained in the matches played among the teams inquestion;
b. superior goal difference resulting from the matches played among the teams in question;
in this case yo have to look only the matches between Italy, Switzerland and Turkey
And the goal goal difference of this matches is 0 in the 3 teams
So you have to go to the next criteria:
c. higher number of goals scored in the matches played among the teams in question;
And here Turkey and Switzerland has score 2 goals, and Italy only 1.
The key is among the teams in question;
Great work!! I haven’t seen anything as good. Thanks!
